Tour Overview

Way to Spiti valley from Manali is opened during summers and springs. In winters, the way to the valley gets closed as Rohtang pass gets heavy snowfall, due to which the roads get blocked. Thus, in summer, the Spiti tour from Manali by car is one of the best options that should be availed.

To enter the Spiti valley, one has to pass through Rohtang pass and Kunzum Pass. Kullu valley is inundated with greenery, unlike Spiti valley which has only spots of vegetation. But, it is another kind of the beauty of nature to be admired.

Kaza is the central town of the Spiti district, where all administrative offices are located. From Kaza, there are many tourists’ destinations to visit. Langza is one of them, which is quite popular among geologists and anthropologists as many marine fossils are found in the village.

Kibber and Komik are the two other villages to be visited near Kaza. When you go to Kibber, do not forget to visit Chicham Bridge, which hangs upon a 1000 feet gorge, connects Kibber and Chicham village.

After visiting the villages and the highest post office in Hikkim, Pin valley national park is the next place to go to. This quirky park is surrounded by lofty arid snow-capped mountains and faces the conflux of the Spiti and Pin rivers.

Once you have gone to the Pin Valley, the Tabo monastery and The Dhankar monastery are the next to be visited. Both the monasteries acquire Tibetan cultural ethos.

How can we miss the emerald of the valley? Chandratal Lake is a crescent moon shaped lake located at an alpine height of more than 4000 meters above sea level.

Spiti valley is not less than a wonder on the earth. It almost resembles Leh & Ladak region of the Leh district.
