Dalhousie, not named after any deity or any sage. This beautiful town got its name invented to commemorate an erstwhile British general, Lord Dalhousie.
Inundated with scenic beauty, Dalhousie lures many vacation seekers to itself. Rivers gushing through deep gorges, dense forests enriched with varieties of flora and fauna, enormous Dhauladher ranges surrounding the town 360 degrees, colonial era churches and other buildings, and much more to see in and around the town.
Netaji Subash Chandra Bose found the place so enchanting that he resided here for almost 3 months in 1937. To commemorate such a great leader of India, two places in the town are named after him.
Chamera lake, a reservoir of Chamera Dam built on river Ravi, entice visitors to indulge in boating, kayaking, fishing and other recreational activities.
At a distance of 15 km from the town lies a small Switzerland of India, Khajjar. Favored by many tourists, Khajjar lures them with its lakes and Kalatop Sanctuary.
One can’t resist to visit Dainkund peak facing vast meadows of Khajjar. Picturesque is apposite to define the hill top as photographing the enchanting vistas from here preserve the memories digitally on your memory card.
Mall road of Dalhousie is similar to the road with same name in other hill stations. Jostled with shopping outlets, eateries, bakeries, hotels and cafes.
Dalhousie lies in Chamba district, can be reached by road via Chandigarh-Delhi highway. It is approximately 560 km from Delhi-NCR.

By Air: Closest airport is Gaggal airport in Dharamshala. You may take a flight from Delhi or Chandigarh to reach Gaggal. From airport, our cab can pick you to take you to Dalhousie.
Other than Gaggal airport, pick up from Delhi, Chandigarh and Amritsar airports are also available.
By Train: Pathankot is the nearest railway station. Trains from various cities of India like Jammu, Delhi, Amritsar, etc run daily to Pathankot. From Pathankot, you can reach Dalhousie by the hired Taxi.
Other than Pathankot, we can provide pick up from Delhi, Amritsar, Chandigarh and Kalka railway stations too.
The hill station can be visited any time during the year.
