Surrounded by dense coniferous forest and Dhauladhar ranges, lies a quaint town known as Dharmashala. It has two divisions – lower portion, having government offices, kotwali bazaar and other urban amenities. And the upper portion renowned for tourisim called as Mcloedganj.
Mcloedganj is an abode of many Tibetan refugees who followed 14th Dalai lama in 1959, after Tibet was reigned by China.

Lush green tea plantation in Palampur is another wonder to see, near to Dharmashala -- How the steep mountains are cut into steps and tea is grown on the steps.
